Despite its location being firmly in West London, Bow Bar is East London through and through. Even its name references the Bow bells of the East End, which urban legend dictates you must be able to hear from your birthplace in order to be a true Londoner. Bow Bar aims to bring the creative, innovative and vibrant spirit of East London to West London, describing itself as having both ‘street attitude’ and ‘city refinement.’
Bow Bar starts the day as a bright, airy lounge, perfect for a catch-up over coffee or a bite to eat for lunch. The compact menu features an international selection of small plates, salads and mains, including the likes of fried squid with charred lime and chipotle mayo, grilled sirloin steak with chips and béarnaise sauce, and trofie pasta with mushrooms, tarragon and green beans.
As the sun sets, Bow Bar transitions into a sophisticated bar, with an extensive list of complex cocktails and slick, entertaining mixologists on the bar. Some of the standout options include the ‘Bee’s Knees’ with Hendricks Lunar gin, bee pollen infusion, pappa reale, citruses husks shrub, wild chestnut honey, citric acid and electric bitters, and the ‘Lady B’, a remarkable blend of grey goose vodka, orange infusion, peach stone liquer, fresh grapefruit and lime juice, compound paint and dehydrated orange dust. True to East London traditions, there’s also an extensive gin selection, as well as craft beers and quality spirits. In fact, Bow Bar has even created its own house beer and gin, brewed, blended and bottled right here in the capital.
This sensory journey all takes place in a fabulously sleek location. Formerly the flagship Hilton London Metropole hotel, the space features a dramatic central bar, stylish copper menus and commissioned artwork by local artist Olha Pryymak, all inspired by the East End.
