With thousands of restaurants across the capital, it begs the question: can Londoners still be surprised? Well, we think if there was ever a restaurant to do it, Bonzai's unique vibe and concept might just be the one.
Located just a short walk from Regent's Park, Bonzai brings together a plethora of cultures with a pan-Asian food menu and a premium selection of shisha, bringing an immersive feel to your dining experience.
The menu is extremely extensive and spans several sections, offering a mix of dishes which would be best enjoyed shared by the whole table, ensuring that everyone gets a taste. Starting with cold plates and we like the sound of the Sake Tataki with marinated salmon tartare with yuzu miso dressing, avocado and chilli, as well as the yellowtail carpaccio served with jalapeno chilli, olive, lime Ikura and yuzu dressing.
Sushi lovers will rejoice when they see the selection available with options like asparagus tempura, soft shell futomaki and the Bonzai fire roll with panko prawn, avocado, cucumber, cheese, sake torched with mayo, caviar and a decadent sprinkling of gold leaf.
If you like the idea of hearty main course, the large plates might take your fancy like kung pao chicken with fried chicken tossed in spicy n sour sauce with cashew, peppers and onion. Or, perhaps enjoy something from the Chef's signature menu like miso black cod which is marinated for 48 hours, served with yuzu chilli lime, sake and Mirin.
If curry is more your thing, there's a selection on offer including Thai green or red curry with vegetables, chicken or prawn, or Katsu curry with mixed vegetables or panko chicken, served with jasmine rice.
As for the shisha, there's a huge range of flavours available which are offered in different tiers. Starting with standard, moving onto premium, savacco and finally Bonzai signatures, you could try the likes of white gummy bear, frozen raspberry and Skittles.
