Blue Moon Thai Cafe is in Tuffnel Park, North West London. It’s a short walk from Tuffnel Park station, which is on the Northern Line and is also reachable via Gospel Oak Overground station. The decor is practical and the dining room intimate and inviting, a small bar sitting at the back adorned with various Thai cultural artefacts.
The food menu covers the full range of the Thai food that’s popular in Britain. Starters include Thai fish cake, vegetable spring rolls, prawn spring rolls and salt and pepper prawns. The Blue Moon selection is a great way to sample a good range of the dishes on offer for the opening course.
A range of Thai curries open the main course options. This includes gang keow wan (green curry), gang dang (red curry) and gang ped (duck curry). There’s also a range of noodle dishes. Pad thai is of course both on offer in standard and jantaburi style, as are drunken noodles and tom yum noodle soup. Stir fry options include pad nam mun hoi (oyster sauce).
Rice dishes round out the main course selection. Kow pad (fried rice with vegetables) and kow pad gra prow (spicy fried rice with vegetables) are on offer, while sticky rice and plain steamed rice can be ordered to go alongside curries.
Blue Moon also operates as a takeaway. Orders can be placed on the website for collection or delivery.
