About

Quirky art, vintage signage, hanging plants and some old industrial features are just some of the hipster-friendly elements you will find in this Bill’s restaurant.

Formerly a bus depot, it has been transformed into a charming and social space. Founder Bill Collison emphasises how dinner is meant to be a social time of day and this is mirrored perfectly in the homely, open and relaxed atmosphere. Priding itself on healthy and seasonal options, as well as the occasional indulgent treat, you are sure to find something to satisfy any mood or craving you may be having that day. And with new dinner specials every day of the week, you can always try something new.

On the menu, you’ll find traditional British favourites and modern dishes filled with seasonal and fresh ingredients. If you are trying to stay healthy, its host of colourful and exciting salads will fill you up – and it won’t even make you jealous if your dining companions decided to go for the signature Bill’s hamburger. Other great options on the menu include the Mojo marinated chicken skewers or Bill’s vegan Wellington- carrot, cashew nuts and mushroom with butterbean mash and vegetable gravy.

For sweet treats, you can opt for the warm mini doughnuts served with strawberries, chocolate and salted caramel dipping sauce, or – better still – the warm triple chocolate brownie, which is sure to satisfy your sweet craving. For those of you who like to keep things simple, a wide selection of ice creams and sorbets are on hand to make sure you don’t feel left out.

Bill's is a family favourite and with its all-day food options there is something that will impress everyone no matter when you decide to visit. And when you do, you’ll be welcomed by friendly staff and a relaxed environment to enjoy your meal in.

The food was good, although they had run out of a lot of veggie dishes by the time we got there (8:30pm on a saturday). Their korean bbq cauliflower wings were excellent

Very very cool place. Quirky staff, great service. Lovely food. What a clever concept. Packed out and I can see why. We didn't have to wait long for a table either. Will certainly go back. Loved the hot elderflower cordial.

I've been here for breakfast now a couple of times whilst visiting friends in Brighton & I can honestly say this is the place to go if you're in the know! It is in the North Laines & not easily found. Get here early as the queue grows quickly on a Sunday morning. I can only describe the place as an old converted warehouse, but once inside it's a true Emporium. Long, wooden communal tables make up the seating area & you are completely surrounded by bays of groceries, carts of fresh fruit & veg and more. The cakes here are truly exceptional & I have never seen their like before, not even in top stores, restaurants etc in London. Don't attempt to photograph them though as I was sternly told it was not allowed! They are adorned with all manner of fresh grasses & flowers & not even shown on their website. The food is all organic & truly tasty. The full English was fabulous & even that manages to come with edible pansies! Boiled eggs are delivered to the table in an assortment of hotch potch egg cups, some I've not seen since childhood. They have just got the whole place right. In the summer months you can get made up picnic boxes for the beach, containing all manner of good old fashioned goodies. It's the sort of place that you just have to tell everybody about, it would be a shame if you didn't visit.
