Since its opening in 2015, The Beckford Bottle Shop has enchanted the city of Bath. The store features an elegant wine shop and an adjoining bistro, complete with tin-clad ceilings, plush Chesterfield sofas, and a marble countertop window seat. Under the guidance of the head chef James Harris and his team, the Beckford Bottle Shop team craft creative small plates, showcasing the abundant offerings of Somerset's local produce. Throughout the day, indulge in bar snacks that perfectly complement any glass of something delicious. The establishment’s core philosophy revolves around hospitality, as they are driven by a deep passion for wine and food. The team is committed to creating a warm, inviting environment, so that whether you seek a bottle, a case, or the pleasure of enjoying a glass paired with seasonal small plates, the goal is to make your experience both enjoyable and memorable.
Having spent the past 15 years in Michelin and AA Rosette kitchens, Beckford Bottle Shop’s head chef James Harris’ passion and talents have earned him his own Michelin Bib Gourmand at the Beckford Bottle Shop. James spends time hunting, foraging, and loves cooking over an open fire, all furthering his love of local and seasonal produce which he uses in the dishes he creates.
