Dating back to the 18th Century, The Beaumond Cross Inn is a charming coaching Inn, found at the crossroads of Beaumond in the heart of Newark on Trent's bustling town centre. The inn offers effortless accessibility by road (the A1), and is just a short stroll from Newark's Castle train station.
A great location to enjoy the historic town of Newark with ease, The Beaumond Cross Inn offers good old British pub grub in a relaxed, picturesque setting. Breakfast begins with a classic full English of Lincolnshire sausages with fresh sage, parsley and thyme, smoked back bacon, eggs the way you like them, sauteed mushrooms and grilled tomatoes.. At The Beaumond Cross Inn, the kitchen team make their own sausages, cured bacon, and use fresh, locally sourced produce for their dishes.
The inn's owner, Paul, makes the restaurant's berry jam himself, and each fruit juice is freshly squeezed. Lunch consists of hot and cold open sandwiches of saltpetre cured pork, onions and warm apple sauce, and juniper and cloudberry salmon, lemon, fresh dill and cucumber. It's the evening meals where true variety is on offer, though, with a large list of starters and light bites, homemade pies, a section of special game birds, fresh fish caught nearby, specials, and a pleasantly long list of vegetarian and vegan dishes. The main menu is served along with a roast menu every Sunday, with the options of pan roasted beef and lamb along with cured pork loin.
Residents staying at The Beaumond Cross Inn and guests of the restaurant are welcome to bring their dogs into the bar area when drinking or dining, as long as they're kept on a lead.
