Having already opened successful cafes in Crouch End and Highbury, the team at daytime cafe Bream have made the move west, opening up a third site in Notting Hill.
This branch of Bream shares a similar look to its sibling sites, featuring calming, minimalist interiors - think exposed brick walls, banquette seating, soft pendant lighting and potted plants tucked away in corners.
Bream serves a menu of both brunch and lunch dishes, many of which take their inspiration from the Mediterranean. There are plenty of savoury options to help get your day started off on the right foot, with dishes to choose from including Turkish-style eggs which consist of poached eggs topped with chilli flakes, spicy beef sausage and garlic yoghurt and served with rosemary focaccia. Vegetarian and vegan diners are also well catered for, thanks to dishes such as goat’s cheese and beetroot benedict served on a breakfast muffin, or a vegan take on a full English which features crushed avocado, vegan sausage, portobello mushroom, hash brown, grilled heritage tomatoes, bean salsa, dukkah, artisan multigrain bread and tomato salsa.
There are also options for sweet-toothed diners however, who fancy a sugary treat come brunch or lunchtime. Those who prefer sweet things can tuck into the likes of a stack of gluten-free buttermilk pancakes served with a berry compote, bacon, salted caramel, maple syrup, honeycomb and butter. Brioche French toast is another popular choice, made even more indulgent by toppings of banana, Nutella, salted caramel and a berry compote.
There are a few dishes better suited to lunchtime too, such as the halloumi wrap which is stuffed with grilled peppers, caramelised red onion, tomato salsa and hummus and is served with a side of salad.
Beam is a family-friendly cafe so it is a great place to bring the little ones too.
