Badgers is a contemporary bar and restaurant located within The Elms Hotel and Spa in Worcestershire. This stunning boutique hotel is housed within a Grade II-listed manor house, boasting stylish interiors, a state-of-the-art spa, 10 acres of beautiful grounds and award-winning cuisine with two restaurants to choose from. Badgers is its slightly more relaxed offering, where it serves comforting British fare from a menu of refined yet classic plates in its unique dining room.
Design plays a huge role throughout the estate and the interiors at Badgers are just as exceptional. The dining room is traditional but luxurious, with a carved wooden fireplace, cosy standing lamps, leather seating and a grey paneled bar in the centre of the space. Look out for deer antlers mounted on the walls, as well as an impressive chandelier also made from interwoven antlers.
Both lunch and dinner menus are served throughout the week. On weekdays, a light lunch menu is available which includes a selection of classic sandwiches, toasted paninis and salads. While at the latter end of the week, a more comprehensive lunch menu is served which includes the above, as well as nibbles, small and large plates and desserts. If you’re visiting for dinner, the a la carte menu includes nibbles such as soy-glazed pork belly and honey mustard chorizo, starters such as chicken parfait with orange and candied hazelnuts and mains including burgers, fish and chips, pasta and a dish of lamb rump with salt baked beetroot, peas, mash and lamb gravy. Dessert continues the classic theme with baked Alaska, vanilla panna cotta and strawberry parfait.
On Sundays, a BBQ menu is served in which guests can choose from their choice of main – think sticky pulled pork roll, bavette steak with chimichurri and lamb chops with salsa verde – along with a huge selection of sides. Choose from rosemary roast potatoes, cheese bacon fries, couscous salad or baked onion.
