Formerly known as Café Liberty, this elegant dining spot located on the second floor of world-famous Liberty London has been tastefully refurbished to reflect the stylish reputation the department store bestows.
Plush banquette seating, in varying shades of teal and midnight blue, is complemented by brass and copper details, pendant lighting and geometric wall designs. Stretching the length of the restaurant, a bejewelled marble bar in pastel shades of pink and grey is a stunning focal point and makes an enticing spot for a cocktail or glass of fizz after a long day shopping.
The drinks list comprises a select choice of wines, sparkling wines and Champagnes, available by the bottle or glass, as well as a concise cocktail list that includes a peach Bellini, Espresso Martini and an Early Grey-infused ‘G & Tea’. If it’s too early for a tipple then the restaurant also serves a wide selection of teas, coffees and cold drinks available from 10am.
The food menu offers wholesome and healthy classics from breakfast through to lunch and afternoon tea. The all-day brunch menu includes all the popular London staples, from eggs royale to avocado toast and a ‘low fat’ yogurt bowl topped with fresh fruit, granola and berry coulis.
For something more substantial, Liberty’s club sandwich selection includes a steak ciabatta complete with caramelised onions and wholegrain mustard butter, as well as a hearty vegan option with roasted veg and smashed avo. Or for something more sophisticated, lobster and langoustine gnocchi with a lobster bisque and parmesan crumb is sure to hit the spot.
If afternoon tea is on the cards then diners can choose from a number of packages comprising a selection of finger sandwiches, pastries and scones and the option to add a glass of Prosecco or Taittinger Champagne. A classic cream tea is also available all day alongside a selection of freshly baked cakes and homemade treats from the restaurant’s resident pastry chef.
