Now with restaurants across the UK, including Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds, Archie’s is famous for its epic burgers, loaded waffles and indulgent shakes. With its bright, Barbie pink frontage just off Lower Temple Street, it's nearly impossible to miss - and inside is a similar story. Those fluorescent pink tones continue throughout the main restaurant, from the tables and chairs, all the way to the walls and ceiling. While white strobe lighting and illuminated Archie’s signage add to the nightclub feel. It’s also gained star-studded status over the years, playing host to influencers and TV personalities from time to time.
If you thought the interiors were over the top, just wait until you get to the food. Moderation is thrown out the windows at Archie’s, and instead replaced with loaded burgers, cheesy sides and decadent waffles. The 15-strong burger list spans beef, chicken and veggie options, with examples including The Daddy which features two smashed patties, cheese, peri chicken, turkey bacon, onions and mayo, and Hot Chicken featuring buttermilk fried chicken, pickles, buffalo hot sauce and ranch dressing. If that’s not enough chicken, you can also add wings and tenders to your order in various flavours, while sides include mac & cheese bites, cheesy tots and hot cheese fries.
Fancy something sweet? Its epic waffles are all served with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, wafer and ice cream, and include the likes of Lotus Waffle featuring lotus crumbs, lotus sauce, milk chocolate hazelnut sauce and a lotus biscuit. If that’s not enough, you’ll also find a huge selection of ‘classic’ (think cookies and cream) and ‘celeb’ milkshakes, named after various, well, celebrities.
There’s a breakfast menu too, where you can order muffins, pancakes and, yes, all its signature shakes, to fuel you through the day.
