Amiga is located in Battersea Rise in London and offers an inviting space to dine, relax, revel, and spread positive energy among friends, family, and as they say, even the occasional stranger. In the restaurant area, adorned with lush foliage, you can savour a lively meal. Meanwhile, the lounge, with its rustic yet elegant ambiance, beckons you to unwind on plush sofas, relish cocktails, and sample the impressive array of Tequilas.
At Amiga, the menu offers a delightful array of Mexican classics, perfect for sharing or savouring solo. Indulge in tacos, quesadillas, and tostadas, all crafted on homemade corn tortillas. The barbacoa beef, a beloved house specialty, undergoes a slow 6-hour cooking process for its rich flavour and unbeatable tenderness. Don't overlook the signature cauliflower al pastor tacos, a veggie twist on the traditional pork al pastor, capable of turning even die-hard carnivores into vegetable enthusiasts.
Served between 5pm and 2am, Amiga's menu begins with a great selection of starters. The tuna tostadas are marinated in a macha sauce and sesame oil, bedded on crushed avocado. The chorizo corquetas are served with cheese and chipotle mayo, and the chilaquiles are tortillas cooked in salsa, sprinkled with feta cheese, chorizo, avocado, pico de gallo and tomatilla sauce.
Tacos are all served on homemade corn tortillas and are gluten free. Options range from barbacoa beef, baja fish, and crispy cauliflower to ancho chicken, pulled pork belly and crackling and fried prawns. There are also several quesadillas on the menu, including cheese and mushroom, chorizo, potato and leek and barbacoa beef with melted cheese. Don't forget dessert! Homemade churros topped with sugar and cinnamon, served with chocolate sauce are delicious.
