The Palm Court at Sheraton London Park Lane hosts the hotel's magical afternoon tea offering, as well as being the signature all-day restaurant at this premium Mayfair hotel. This beautiful setting in the heart of the city offering a glimpse into the magic and history of the roaring 20s. Original Art Deco features set the scene, be it for breakfast, business, or a very special occasion, and guests can sink into plush sofas in the lounge, or grab a table in the main restaurant to enjoy coffee, cocktails or afternoon tea from the timeless British menu.
Considered "one of the most wonderful settings in which to take afternoon tea in London" by the Tea Guild, Palm Court has become the gathering place for guests and locals alike and is today one of the greatest places to enjoy afternoon tea in Mayfair. Healthy palms are dotted around the room, hence the name, helped ably by the abundance of natural light, courtesy of skylights in the roof.
Meanwhile, afternoon tea is inspired by The Palm Court's 1920s heritage - many of the sweets on offer take direct influence from the 1920s, but are given a contemporary edge by talented patissieres. Sweets include a pecan chocolate keel, and a blueberry and lemon regatta, and among the savouries you can expect a prawn cocktail bun and a devilled egg mayonnaise sandwich, as well as fresh plain and sultana scones with homemade seasonal preserves and Cornish clotted cream.
The Palm Court also offers a special kid's afternoon tea as well, complete with ham sandwiches, scones and colourful treats to keep your little ones entertained.
Afternoon Tea is recognised around the world as being something traditionally British. The Palm Court has been awarded with The Tea Guild's Award of Excellence 2013.
