Aylesbury is a sweet town in central England. You will find that plenty of charm, history, and lots of fun facts are what build up Aylesbury's heritage. Jacobean, Georgian, and Tudor buildings are all found in the old town of Aylesbury, and near the 13th century St Mary's Church, you will find a particularly interesting variation of architecture. If you find yourself interested in Aylesbury's history, Bucks County Museum is somewhere you should spend some time. This museum pays a particular interest to local history and culture, and is home to the Roald Dahl Children's Gallery. The town is regarded as the birthplace of the Paralympic Games, as during the 1948 Olympics in London, a German-British neurologist, Sir Ludwig Guttmann, is known to have set up a small sporting event for WWII veterans. This was known as the World Wheelchair and Amputee Games, and was run from Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
