only uneducated people would visit this venue
The issue started upstairs in the venue at the small corner bar. Two staff where behind this bar however even though there were only three or four customers standing at the bar it still took nearly ten minutes to get served, this happened on three occasion in the space of one hour.
On the third occasion the bar men started serving the women at the bar before one of the male members of the party even though he was clearly at the bar first. When he eventually got served he brought this issue to the barman's attention, which didn't go down too well and words were exchanged.
Approximately ten minute later we noticed several members of the door staff looking at our group but we pass no remarks because as far as we were concerned nothing was done wrong on our part.
After another five minute a door man in a suit came over to our group and spoke to the person concerned. He asked him to apologies to the bar man or he would have to leave the premises, reluctantly he agreed so he went over to the barman however the barman refused to accept his apology and the member of our party was then asked to leave.
At this point most of our party had finished their drinks so we all decided to leave, one female member of group have nearly a full drink left but rather than drink it she reached behind the bar and poured it down the sink. On the way to the door another member of our group went to go to the toilet on the second floor of the venue however two further door men blocked his path and told him to leave, we could not understand why this happened as only one member of our party was asked to leave, the rest of us chose to leave.
When we got outside we started talking to the head doorman who was nothing but rude to us. When asked why the member of our group was ask to leave he said he didn't know why and then he said the reason the other person was refused entry to the toilet was because the female member of our party had thrown a drink when she had actually poured it down the sink.
The head doorman had a continual smirk on his face throughout the conversation and proceeded to call us uneducated people. We found this remark extremely degrading as this person knew nothing about us.
At this point another doorman seen the head doorman have over stepped the mark so he intervened. He admitted that the doorman shouldn't have called us uneducated and said it is not first time he has seen the head doorman behave in this way.
When we asked to speak to management we were told that they were on a staff night out and the head doorman was in charge of venue that night, we were told any complaints would have to be taken up with Colin but we were told he didn't see any point in that being done as most complaint are ignored when reported.
We feel it is an absolute disgrace the way we were treated in the venue and if the bar staff had of been doing their job correctly none of this would have happened.
