Housed on the famous Pudding Lane, MBER is a restaurant and bar in the heart of the City of London. This site embodies the streets’ history and opened its doors on the 350th anniversary of the Great Fire of London.
The restaurant itself is a chic and stylish spot, with eye-catching decor designed by Ross McNally. Here, you'll find plush velvet or red leather seating with nods to its past through industrial style columns, all topped off with sleek gold and copper lighting. This underground hideaway is the ideal location for a couple of afterwork drinks or a relaxed evening of Asian cuisine.
At MBER, dining is all about sharing, with small tapas plates and platters aimed to be enjoyed together. Menus put a spin on a number of the classic dishes, boasting a menu packed full of seafood, meat and veggie options alike, offering to all tastes and preferences.
Why not start your meal with swordfish taquitos served with mango mint guacamole or crispy sesame squid with sweet chilli sauce. Continue your evening of decadent dining and tuck into a roasted hoisin duck bao with blue agave sriracha or the wagyu beef and foie gras burger served with miso dressing and crispy bacon. Meanwhile, a jackfruit massaman curry or miso aubergine with crispy buckwheat take up their place on the vegan menu. The team recommends three to four dishes per person, plus a side, but feel free to order to your heart's content.
Desserts may be minimal but they're not to be missed. Finish your evening with a selection of flavoured mochi, or why not try the Ecuadorian dark chocolate mousse with cherry ice cream or a peanut butter parfait topped with an oreo crumb. On the drinks front, you can enjoy a selection of signature cocktails alongside bottles of red, white and rose wines, and a selection of sake.
