The Italian Greyhound (formerly Bernardi’s) is a bar and dining room in the well-heeled neighbourhood of Marylebone, which offers a dedicated private dining space. The restaurant is able to accommodate all manner of private dining occasions, ranging from personal celebrations such as milestone birthday dinners with friends, corporate lunches and even weddings, thanks to the restaurant's proximity to Marylebone Town Hall.
The Italian Greyhound’s private dining space is called The Garden Room. Occupying the entire lower ground floor, this space is bright, airy and completely exclusive. The decor is simple and chic, featuring a crisp white and olive green colour scheme, as well as potted house plants dotted around the space and eye-catching artworks lining the walls. For private dining affairs, guests are seated banquet-style around one long, central dining table table, while curved leather banquette seating at one end provides a comfortable place to sit pre- and post-dinner.
When it comes to food at The Italian Greyhound, event planners can choose between a feasting menu or canape/cicchetti menu for their guests. Head chef Robert Carmo utilises the best of seasonal ingredients in his luxurious private dinner menus - think a plate of tagliatelle with girolles, Parmesan and parsley, followed by pistachio tiramisu for dessert.
The Garden Room can accommodate between 10-50 guests for a sit-down meal, or up to 100 for a standing reception. One of the space’s most appealing features is that it benefits from having its own cocktail bar, which is ideal for Champagne and canape receptions or pre-dinner drinks. Unusually for a subterranean event space, the room also boasts a small al fresco terrace, where guests can enjoy a bit of fresh air. Exclusive hire of the whole venue is also available, seating a maximum of 120 guests over two floors.
