The Bridge is a privately owned, award-winning hotel, spa and events venue in North Yorkshire. While it certainly ticks the box of a countryside escape, it sits in the quaint village of Walshford which paints a picture for your special event, with Ripon and York not far away either. The hotel is both classic and contemporary, equipped with all the mod cons but also boasting a historic past with areas dating back to the 1800s. There are three function rooms to choose from. The Walshford Suite is a grand space with ceiling cornicing, decorative wall panels and chandeliers - with a capacity of 175 guests, it's a gorgeous place for a big do. For something more intimate, The Bryon Room might suit. With a capacity of 50 to 70 guests, it is an enchanting space for a sit-down dinner thanks to the ornate rococo plasterwork ceiling, which is one of the finest examples in Yorkshire. If you'd rather keep things contemporary, The Ribson Suite has capacity for 200 guests, floor-to-ceiling windows for lots of natural light and a neutral colour scheme.
All catering is provided in-house and the team will be happy to talk you through the extensive options such as canapes, a three-course meal or carvery. There's also a whole host of drinks packages to get the party started with welcome glasses of fizz, cocktails or punch.
If you'd rather just book a large table at the hotel's eatery, the Courtyard Restaurant, that can also be arranged. The Courtyard's menu has a large selection of mains such as slow-cooked pork belly and pan-roasted sea bass, with a section for grill cooking, too. The atmosphere here is friendly and warm, with authentic, traditional interiors.
