The expectations were high for the swish London outpost of New Delhi’s Indian Accent. Why? The original is the only spot in India on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list and is regularly voted as the country’s top place to eat.
So far it’s been well received, and earned
three SquareMeal stars for the high quality of its contemporary Indian food. The setting is sophisticated and chic, with forest green furnishings and dim lighting.
Bookers will be particularly pleased to hear that the lower-ground floor doubles as a private dining room for 18 guests, or 30 on separate tables, and there are four set menus with paired wines.
We love the sound of wild mushroom kulcha (flatbread) with black dairy dal and wasabi cucumber raita, as well as meetha achaar ribs marinated in onion seeds.
A minimum spend applies, starting from £4,000 for dinner and £2,000 for lunch.
