Peggy Porschen has opened a new, pink private dining room in Chelsea

Londoners are literally obsessed with pink restaurants, and one of the pink pioneers, Peggy Porschen has opened a private dining room in the basement of its Chelsea Parlour (the flagship site). It is as pink as you could have ever dreamt of.

This is the group’s first venture into events, and the space, aptly named The Chelsea Rose Room, comes complete with a private dining room, which also boasts a ‘Peggy Pink’ private bar, making the room ideal for parties. We’re thinking baby showers, hen dos, cute birthday parties (both for adults and children) or events in need of a strong theme. Even client dinners or corporate events with a difference could be an idea for the space.

Peggy's signature celebration cakes, cupcakes and sweet treats can be ordered from the kitchen for your event

The intimate room seats up to 20 people and is decorated with kitsch flowery wallpaper from Sanderson, mint green wall panels, pink antique mirrors and a cute central dining table – it’s meant to evoke the experience of an English rose garden. Despite its basement location, it’s got a skylight, making the room bright and airy.

Adjacent to the private dining room is the boujee Pink Peony Bar, which is available for hire in conjunction with The Chelsea Rose Room. It features a (you guessed it) pink-panelled bar, dusty pink bar stools and bar cabinets with floral-printed doors. Here, pre-dinner drinks receptions can be held with the signature floral cocktails being served, for instance, although Champagne, wines and Parlour tea infusions can be had as well.

We have no doubt that the private dining room will be as Instagrammed as the flower-clad, dessert-serving, pink explosion café upstairs. Designed by architects Kinnersley Kent Design, key features include specially commissioned furniture, whimsical pendant lighting, a five-metre long patisserie counter and wall murals. The pink exterior filled with pretty flowers is hard to miss, too.

Although it is mostly known for its desserts, cakes and sweet treats, the café is an all-day eatery with savoury dishes available for dinner until 8pm. The kitchen will create bespoke menus for events in The Chelsea Rose Room, including signature celebration cakes, cupcakes and sweet treats. The Peggy team also work with a number of recommended suppliers, who can help with decorations such as balloons and flowers, as well as entertainment.
