Rascals has opened on Curtain Road, and it’s got a waterproof private dining room that aims to bring back the playfulness of our youth to the table.
Seating up to 20, the Playroom features rubber flooring, wipeable walls and two floor drains. The reason? Groups can take part in water fights before sitting down to dinner.
Opt for the £59pp package and each guest will get a loaded Super Soaker to shoot at their companions, while mountains of jelly will serve as ammo for impromptu food fights. It’s safe to say that a bulk purchase of plastic ponchos is advisable.
If your group is less keen to let out their inner six-year-old, then there are set menus aimed at more civilised parties that don’t include the water guns or jelly: imagine sea bass ceviche and sticky pig belly with mezcal glaze.
Another fun idea for group dinners (that involves karaoke) can be found this way.
