The best new private dining rooms of 2018 (so far)
With a myriad of new private dining rooms to choose from this year, we’ve picked out our favourites to make life a little easier for you…

1. Petersham Nurseries, Covent Garden

Petersham Nurseries Covent Garden london restaurants private dining main dining area

Capacity 32
Why it’s worth the visit Home-grown ingredients that result is seriously tasty food

Bring cool clients who are as interested in the surroundings as they are the food. The courtyard, deli and a flower shop serves up cracking food in residential interiors. We loved it.

2. Choki Dhani, Battersea

Capacity 12
Why it’s worth the visit High-end, yet comforting Indian food

The interiors, food and atmosphere all have a certain level of juxtaposition at this place. The interiors are a somewhere between Brick-Lane curry house and Dubai luxuriousness. The food? Classic tandoori, with high-end refinement. The atmosphere? Relaxed, yet sophisticated.

3. Beck at Brown’s, Mayfair

Brown's Hotel wedding reception

Capacity 120
Why it’s worth the visit Michelin-star hoarder Heinz Beck is at the helm – need we say more?

Beck has poshed up Brown’s, and we like it. Simple Italian food is delivered with the culinary finesse only possible from three Michelin-star holders. There’s no private dining room in Beck’s itself, but each of the hotel’s six events spaces are serviced by Heinz and his team (we recommend the Clarendon Room, which seats 70).

4. Delamina, Marylebone

Capacity 40
Why it’s worth the visit Sophistication brought to the Middle Eastern table

Middle Eastern food is often associated more with lunch than dinner, but this place demonstrates that Israeli food is just as suitable at night. But while it brings more elegance to the cuisine, it still retains the casual get-stuck-in vibe of sharing that we love so much about this food. Downstairs is the spot for events with Tel Aviv-inspired décor.

5. Devonshire Club, Liverpool Street

Devonshire Club Adam Grey city of london private club

Capacity 60
Why it’s worth the visit Its handy City location

Adam Gray took over the Devonshire Club’s brasserie in May and introduced a seasonal, modern-British menu with gentle nods to the club's east London location. The classy, business-like environment also makes it great for client dinners or an office outing.

6. The Marksman, Hackney

The Marksman pub private dining summer terrace

Capacity 12
Why it’s worth the visit It feels like a pub, it tastes like a Michelin-starred restaurant

The new private dining room at The Marksman offers a very special experience. Located in the cellar next door to the kitchen, guests have to walk by the busy chefs in order to enter the dimly lit, wine bottle-decorated room. The set menu is based on the best seasonal products.

7. Four Degree, Vauxhall

Capacity 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20, 25
Why it’s worth the visit The option of retreating to the UK’s first Macallan Whiskey Lounge after dinner

The Japanese/European restaurant offers a whopping four dining rooms, including one on the mezzanine level, which features a sleek and modern interior. We also love the outdoor terrace with its river views.

Not enough? Don’t worry, we’ve got a full list of private dining rooms
