The downstairs area of Turkish meze restaurant Firedog is now available for private bookings for up to 70 seated guests.
Interiors are home to dark wood panelling and brass fittings, plus mixed media murals that bring a creative vibe to the space. It may lie on the Fitzrovia side of Oxford Street, but Firedog is certainly a venue where we can see the Soho media crew settling in well.
The kitchen specialises in dishes fired up on the open-flame charcoal grill – we like the sound of the 30-day aged spice-rubbed rib eye steak. Other dishes on the new set menu for events include smoky stuffed aubergine and big bowls of hummus topped with burnt sumac butter. For special occasions, the team can create personalised celebratory cakes and desserts.
Set menus will go down well, but we think meze suits the buffet-style dining option, which is available on request.
