With exciting restaurants opening left, right, and centre, Battersea Power Station is certainly a gourmet destination to watch in 2018. The
latest incarnation of Cinnamon Kitchen is the most recent to open its doors, serving the top-notch food we’ve come to expect and a cosmopolitan party vibe.
Inside, brickwork and exposed industrial features combine with modern furnishings like leather and velvet banquettes. Guests can also expect floor-to-ceiling windows at the front and an open kitchen at the back. While it’s a big space – 150 for a reception or 100 seated – it’s not cavernous, and the clever design helps to create more intimate spaces for smaller groups. We particularly like the chef’s table, and can see the outdoor terrace coming into its own in the summer.
The Cage on the mezzanine floor is the headline space for groups and semi-private dinners for up to 30. CEO and executive chef Vivek Singh shares, ‘The private space here is an exciting first for us, because it still benefits from the energy and atmosphere of the main dining room below. It’s more suited to social occasions, rather than formal meetings, and is certainly a dramatic setting to both see from, and to be seen inside.’
We’ve always found the events team at Cinnamon Collection to be helpful with the finer details. Highlights of the menu include dishes from the tandoor, signature game ande clove-smoked lamb. Puds are a strength too, though Indian-inspired cocktails devised by master mixologist Tony Conigliaro are an excellent shout too.
