Dalston Japanese restaurant Jidori is making the move to central London in February 2018, and this time it’ll have a private karaoke booth where bookers can host group dinners too.
We’ve been fans of the restaurant since it opened in 2015, serving delicious yakitori small plates, Japanese beers, sake and cocktails with Asian flavours. Early next year will see the second site take up residence in a terraced house on Catherine Street, with an extended menu and a similar interior design of clean lines and pastel-coloured details.
The karaoke booth will be found behind a curtain on the lower ground floor and will have a relaxed, fun vibe and set menus for groups. Exclusive hire will grant access to the space for 12 guests for an evening of eating, drinking and (questionable) dulcet tones. We’ve even heard a rumour there may be some drinks designed for sharing, which can only help proceedings. Fingers crossed.
Co-owner Natalie Lee-Jones shares, ‘We firmly believe food is always at the heart of a good night out. The space in Covent Garden allows us to bring the fun back into dining with our own karaoke room.’
