Bloomberg has named seven of the 10 independent restaurants that will open in the arcade running through its new European headquarters on Queen Victoria Street near the Bank of England this autumn – and they’re all big names on the London food scene.
Drumroll for the gourmet lineup please: Ahi Poké, Bleecker Burger, Brigadiers (from the team behind Hoppers and Trishna), Caravan, Homeslice, Koya and Vinoteca. Chances are you’ll recognise a few names, and be just as happy as we are to see their new outposts in the Square Mile.
The pedestrianised arcade will run between the two Bloomberg buildings and marks a welcome change for the City, with more options for business lunches. It’s the second major bout of openings in the area following The Ned’s nine restaurants earlier this year.
Wine bar and restaurant Vinoteca has confirmed it will have a private dining room on the mezzanine level with views over the restaurant below, while Indian barbecue specialist Brigadiers has said it is finalising the details of its group dining spaces.
Three more restaurants will be announced in the coming weeks, as will news of private dining rooms or exclusive hire options in the other venues. One to watch for sure.
There are other changes brewing in the City too. Find out what’s going on here.
