French meets Asian in this Gordon Ramsay Group favourite. The Bridge space gives guests elevated views from its long table, while six diners can watch chef do his thing at the Kitchen Table. Those wanting total seclusion should go for the Maze View, which also looks on to the kitchen.
Inspired by colonial India’s sports clubs, Gymkhana mixes opulence with old school charm. The private vaults are kitted out with red-leather banquette seating and quirky lamps. We particularly like that the menu has a strong focus on chapatti sharing dishes, making it great for groups.

Chef Richard Corrigan put this restaurant on the map with seasonal dishes that celebrate Britain’s natural larder, but it’s the diverse event spaces and add-ons that really make it shine in our eyes. Picture the likes of a chef’s table and cocktail masterclasses.

This Michelin-starred establishment has spawned three offshoots in the capital, but the Mayfair original remains the most impressive. A retractable window in the private dining room allows guests to watch the kitchen brigade at work, before tucking into pasta dishes that dreams are made of.

The robata grill in the main restaurant’s open kitchen produces an excellent roll-call of meat, fish and vegetable dishes, but the selection of sushi and sashimi are also a highlight here. Groups keen for extra privacy can opt for the Adzuki room, or the outdoor terrace in summertime.

A favourite of many gastronauts for years,
Scott’s can be a difficult place to score a table. Luckily though, there’s a large private dining room decked out in the same rich wood and leather as the main restaurant that also serves top-notch seafood. Fresh flowers, place cards, and candles are included with the room hire too.

We’re big fans of some of the more interesting private spaces here. The walls and ceiling of the chef’s private dining room are plastered in beautiful antique world maps, and the wine shop La Cave can be used for group dinners and tastings. Dishes are simple, letting the very fine ingredients do the talking.

Late in 2017, gaming club Crown London Aspinalls moved its restaurant to the ground floor and opened it to non-members. Polished wooden flooring, stuccoed mantelpieces and comfortable leather dining chairs create a serene, classy vibe in the PDR, emphasised by delicate chandeliers and sleek black display cabinets full of pricey-looking objets. The expansive menu caters for the hyper-wealthy international set who frequent such establishments in such postcodes, encompassing separate lists of crowd-pleasing Middle Eastern, Chinese, Indian, Japanese and modern European dishes.
