You may know Hampton Manor for its grand old main building, an impressive piece of architecture that once belonged to Sir Robert Peel. But, did you know that there are two award winning restaurants on site, too? Aside from the stunning walled garden, historical rooms and spaces, and a courtyard atrium perfect for weddings and events, Hampton Manor has these two restaurants, an artisan bakery and a cookery school to its name. If you like to enjoy special dinners out, or have an important occasion coming up, why not book a private dining experience at Hampton Manor, and enjoy an evening like no other.
The Dining Room is best suited for private dining, and can accommodate between 9 and 42 guests. Known as the jewel of the Manor House, this beautiful room has views of the clock tower and gardens. But there are other options, too, such as The Tasting Room that fits up to 8 diners, The Courtyard for 132, and The Parlour, which holds a generous 18 guests in a more laid back space.
For a grazing snack, your guests may begin with garden vegetables served with beetroot compote and cured meats. When it's time for starters, there are options of smoked trout rillette with kohlrabi and elderflower salad, along with chicken liver parfait with smoked beetroot ketchup, pickled beetroot sourdough and compressed apple. We love the sound of the mains, such as roast beef with bone marrow gravy, Cotswold chicken with pea, lettuce and bacon, and cod with xo beurre blanc and sea vegetables. Each main dish is served with hispi cabbage and boulangere potatoes. Desserts round the meal off perfectly, with Pink Lady tarte tatin with salted caramel sauce, chocolate delice with poached pear and yoghurt sorbet, and brown sugar brulee with lingonberry compote and creme fraiche ice cream.
