Cheshire is located in the northwest of England and is known for its spectacular offering of architecture and history. You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to things to do and places to see. The county has a rich history of salt and silk production, and of course, is known for its cheese. Whilst the county is surrounded by the most gorgeous countryside, you’ll have plenty of city life to enjoy in Cheshire, too. The Golden Triangle sits within Cheshire, consisting of Alderley Edge, Prestbury and Wilmslow, which are known for their beautiful landscapes and attractions. There is, of course, Chester, which was founded as a Norman fortress back in 1 AD. Old Tudor buildings and timber framed marvels still stand today. Chester Zoo, the Blue Planet Aquarium and Gulliver’s World are great places to visit if you have the family in tow.
