Chai-Ki brings modern Indian soul food to Canary Wharf with a vibrant all-day menu from Monday to Sunday. If you’re looking to host a private dining event in the area, whether it’s a relaxed business meeting or a celebratory dinner with colleagues, you can enjoy Chai-Ki's soul-warming food within the comfort of your own private space. Its mezzanine deck can be hired for up to 18 guests if it’s a smaller affair you’re planning, but for larger groups, you can hire the entire dining room for a more major dinner.
During the day, large windows flood the space with natural light while offering views out over the water. The décor lies somewhere between industrial and glamorous, with exposed silver pipes, gold light fixtures, orange touches and soaring ceilings creating a grand and airy ambience.
There are two dedicated party menus available for private groups, priced at £35 and £45 respectively. Both feature a selection of starters, mains and desserts, although the latter offers slightly more choice. Examples of dishes you might expect to try include chicken momos with tomato and pepper dip to start, followed by butter chicken served alongside a range of sides – think rice, naan, dhal fry and raita. To finish, desserts, include the likes of a Malai cheesecake with berry compote, or a chocolate chilli tart if you’re feeling brave.
For parties who prefer to have free reign over the menu, you can choose from the a la carte offering instead. This features a range of sharing dishes, from chatpatta, chaats and grills to classics and specials. There is also a fun selection of cocktails and mocktails which offer twists on popular classics. Look out for a Pear White Negroni made with gin, Suze aperitif, bianco vermouth, matured cognac and pear liqueur, and a Guava Virgin Martini featuring guava, watermelon and rose sugar.
