Nestled in the bustling Spitalfields Market, Brother Marcus offers a chic yet cosy haven for private events in London's East End. With the charm of its Middle Eastern and Mediterranean-inspired menu, this spacious location can host up to 30 guests at its signature Big Table or accommodate larger gatherings with a capacity of 100 people seated or 150 standing if you hire the entire restaurant exclusively.
The interiors are the perfect backdrop for any kind of an event with a concept that celebrates the natural world with plenty of foliage and greenery. From hanging plants to woven wicker lamps and exposed brickwork, the restaurant creates an inviting, organic atmosphere that’s perfect for everything from intimate gatherings to vibrant celebrations. The warm, earthy tones, paired with ample sunlight streaming through large windows, sets a relaxed, friendly tone for events, while the open-plan kitchen and plush banquette seating provides a sense of warmth and togetherness.
Brother Marcus’s menu is a feast for the senses, with an emphasis on inventive, brunch-inspired dishes served all day. Guests can indulge in crowd-pleasers like the hearty Marcus Breakfast or lighter (but still pretty decadent) options like the Brioche with cardamom curd and caramelized pistachios. The all-day menu also boasts small, shareable plates ideal for group dining, featuring vegetarian highlights such as pan-fried halloumi with prune and clementine, or more robust dishes like pork rib-eye and roasted chicken. Freshly baked breads with a variety of dips add a communal touch to the meal, perfect for sharing among friends or colleagues.
To complement the food, the drink menu offers a selection of low-intervention wines and unique cocktails, which is certainly a big these here. We like the sound of the Thyella with Four Roses Bourbon, Roots Rakomelo, lime juice, grapefruit juice and jaggary syrup, but there's plenty more where that came from!
