If you're on the hunt for somewhere to enjoy an exquisite meal, in beautiful surroundings, then look no further. Modelled on the dining salons of the Royal Yacht, each of the three private dining rooms at Bob Bob Ricard City, offer a full a la carte menu of decadent British and French comfort food.
Group dinners at Bob Bob Ricard City are known as indulgent, decadent affairs, suited to special occasions whether they be work, friends or family-related. After all, this is the restaurant known for the ‘press for Champagne’ buttons, which prompt attentive staff to pour fresh rounds from magnums for maximum effect. Each room accommodates groups of up to 18 guests. Alternatively, two smaller semi-private separated from the main dining room by a bevelled glass wall seat up to eight guests.
A reflection of the calibre of the restaurant, the a la carte private dining menus at Bob Bob Ricard City open with caviar and oysters, including Siberian sturgeon caviar, served with creme fraiche and blinis, or Jersey rock oysters with lemon and tabasco. Starters are comforting and elevated. Think snails in parsley and garlic butter with smoked Alsace bacon, potato foam and rye croutons, and chicken soup with grilled gruyere cheese on brioche toast.
For your main, check out the chicken pie with Bollinger Champagne, shiitake mushrooms, leeks, carrots, caramelised onions and veloute under a buttery puff pastry; macaroni and cheese thermidor with a whole lobster tail; and the signature beef Wellington made with a 21-day aged fillet of Angus scotch beef. Last but not least, the dessert menu offers lemon custard tart with a burnt soft meringue topping, and raspberry bavarois with set raspberry mousse, genoise sponge and toasted oats.
