A venue can mean and do so many things; perhaps a place to throw a huge party, somewhere to bring family together or even a retreat for your team. It's rare to find one place that can bring all of this together but Virginia Park Lodge in County Cavan, Ireland, has an all-encompassing appeal that can work for any occasion.
An 18th-century hunting estate, Virginia Park Lodge is surrounded by 100 acres of stunning greenery, a deer park and lush, thick forests. As well as the various parkland and gardens, you'll also find a nine hole golf course, as well as walking routes along the banks of the renowned fishing lake of Lough Ramor.
It has a great location, only a half an hour drive from Belfast airport and if coming from further afield, it's easy to book out a selection of bedrooms so that your guests can stay for the whole weekend and enjoy whatever you have planned.
In terms of spaces to hire, the lodge will be exclusively yours and across the various areas is a total capacity of up to 500 people. But whether you're imagining an intimate dinner for 20 or a bash for 200, the talented team can help you plan your event perfectly.
There's much to choose from but a stand-out space has to be the The Taylour Room with its arched ceiling, huge wooden beams and floor-to-ceiling crittal doors which flood the space with light. This is a magical place to host a banquet and really brings home that atmospheric, hunting lodge feel. For a formal occasion like a wedding, The Marchioness Room is a stunning space with floral wallpaper, a chandelier and ballroom aestehtic, which looks incredible when decked out with floral installations.
In terms of catering, you couldn't be luckier as celebrity chef Richard Corrigan has recently taken over the venue, bringing his Michelin Star expertise to the restaurant. What better way to celebrate than with a menu decvised by a culinary legend?
