Part of The Vinter’s Company, one of the Great Twelve City of London Livery Companies, Vinter’s Hall comprises a number of beautiful spaces perfect for occasions large and small. From pre-dinner receptions to large-scale banquets, this historic events venue is sure to offer a room to suit your private event, in the heart of the City of London, just moments away from Cannon Street.
For large private dinners, Livery Hall is a stunning space dating back to the late 17th century and has enough room for 156 seated, or 250 standing. Many of its features are original, from a coat of arms on the wall to carved heads beneath the windows, while high ceilings draw the eye up to its golden chandeliers.
The Gassiot Room and Swan Room can also be hired in conjunction with Livery Hall, and are interconnected to ensure a seamless flow of events. Use the space as an overspill from the main hall if you need a little extra room, or perhaps start celebrations off in here with drinks or a wine tasting.
For pre-dinner receptions or smaller lunches, take a look at the Drawing Room. This space contains a number of artifacts from the Company’s history, including the original Royal Charter, as well as tassle curtains, chandeliers and gold ceilings.
A range of menus are available for numerous types of events, from breakfast to finger food, sandwiches, canapes and bowl food, or an extravagant banquet feast. The food is provided by British caterer Searcys, with a focus on seasonal British produce. For example, the banqueting menu includes a range of elegant starters, mains and desserts, such as Scottish smoked salmon with Devonshire white crab, lemon, avocado puree, radish, shaved fennel and coriander cress, and confit duck leg with roast tomato, smoked bacon, white bean cassoulet, tender stem broccoli and redcurrant jus.
