Found on Queen Street, The Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh offers several conference and event spaces suited to a wide variety of occasions. It’s also home to The Physicians International Conference Centre, one of the largest purpose-built auditoriums in the city.
It has since undergone a £3.5 million refurbishment, comes with top of the range AV and VC facilities, upgraded web streaming services, and can host up to 300 delegates on comfortable tiered seating. If you need to check your guests in for an event, hand out packs, or want somewhere to host a drinks reception, you will be able to enjoy the use of the large foyer area that has generous space for anything that you need.
Other spaces include The Duncan Room, a wonderful setting with a blue design that is quiet, calm and airy. Here, you'll be well set up for board meetings and dinners, and have the option to use a moveable 70 inch plasma screen TV. If you’re looking for something a little more grand, but with an intimate feel, The Cullen Suite makes a great location for board meetings and smaller seminars. The table layout here is flexible, and whether you’re hosting a roundtable discussion, committee meeting, or private dinner you’ll have views over the city.
Then there's the warm, regal Great Hall, which can be traced back to the Victorian era. This magnificent space boasts plenty of natural light, lush carpets, and imposing pillars and friezes (not to mention the stunning artworks peppering the walls). The Great Hall can accommodate up to 150 guests in flexible configurations, and if you’re planning to include dinner at your event at The Royal College of Physicians you can add the adjoining New Library and dine amidst the Victorian bookshelves under an ornate vaulted ceiling.
