Sitting proudly between Hampton Court Maze and the Royal Bushy Park, The Kings Arms Hotel boasts an enviable location that might just rank as one of the most historic in southern England. Grade I listed Hampton Court Palace - the magnificent royal residence built by Cardinal Thomas Wolsey in 1525 - is just a few minutes walk away from your hotel room, but The Kings Arms Hotel has some unique history of its own. Although it was built in the Georgian style, the Kings Arms Hotel actually dates all the way back to 1709 when Queen Anne sat on the throne. It was originally named the Queen's Head - presumably in deference to Queen Anne - but by 1772 it had been renamed The Kings Arms after mad King George.
Today The Kings Arms is a charming boutique hotel, with stunning views of Hampton Court Palace and Bushy Park, the second largest of London’s Royal Parks. The building retains much of its old detailing and period charm, not least reflected by the size, shape and design of the rooms - each is completely unique, which is a common feature of old Georgian buildings.
The events team at The Kings Arms are on hand to get your event up and running. The hotel has a variety of spaces for parties or corporate events - the lounge, for example, is a cosy space for a small drinks or canape party, while The Six Restaurant can be hired out for larger events. This is a particularly unique venue so the events team will lend an essential guiding hand in advising the best space for you, whether you're holding a birthday, christening, Christmas party or work seminar. As well as hiring the space, The Kings Arms can also sort out in-house food and drink, courtesy of the fantastic kitchen team at The Six Restaurant.
