St Pierre Park is a hotel, spa and golf resort on the outskirts of Guernsey’s capital St Peter Port. Built at the start of the 19th century, the original St Pierre Park was home to a monastic order and used to house recovering German soldiers during World War II before becoming a private home in the following years. What is now the golf course was a cider orchard and in 1971 St Pierre Park became an educational institution, meaning all religious items were re-homed and the chapel organ shipped to France. Work on the current hotel building was completed in 1983.
Amid the rooms with views and suites with private hot tubs, there’s also a range of event spaces. Its largest space, La Fontaine, has a private bar, dance floor and access to a terrace that overlooks the lake. This can be combined with the adjoining room, La Petite Fontaine, to create a 400 capacity space, ideal for large corporate parties.
Meanwhile, the Liberté, Égalité and Fraternité rooms are its smallest spaces, each of which can seat 36 for private dinners. And the Victor Hugo Suite has its own bar, balconies and cloakrooms. This being the Channel Islands, there’s no VAT to add onto DDRs and dining packages - a bonus! And at the end of a day’s meetings, groups can head straight for the nine-hole golf course designed by Tony Jacklin.
St Pierre Park is available for exclusive hire if you'd like to guarantee total privacy on the day. This includes use of the entire house, event spaces, bedrooms and grounds, for magnificent events that will be remembered for years to come.
