Whether it be your wedding day, a milestone birthday or a corporate celebration, opting for an iconic venue will always impress your guests. And, while London isn't short of fabulous places to throw a party, Searcys Champagne Bar at Battersea Power Station has a certain something.
We're all long familiar with Searcys Champagne Bar thanks to its glamorous branches at the likes of St Pancras and The Gherkin, but after the Battersea Power Station's expensive renovations, this new site is even more wow-worthy. The space has capacity for up to 80 people and is available on an exclusive hire basis, so you can make the whole place your own.
The interior design concept is stunning, with richly-hued, midnight blue walls rubbing up next to velvet banquettes and a sparkling statement bar. Patterned bar stools bring a designer edge and the parquet flooring is the final touch to this sophisticated yet fun venue.
When it comes to refreshments, you can't book a Champagne bar without indulging in the spoils so be sure to peruse the extensive menu with names like Palmer & Co, Laurent-Perrier and Drappier Carte d’Or, available with glasses and bottles. There's also a fantastic cocktail menu bursting with classics like French 75, Espresso Martini and Kir Royale. There's also plenty of options across beers, alcohol free beverages and coffee, too.
The food menu at Searcys Champagne Bar at Battersea Power Station is relatively compact, filled with dishes that work for sharing with table or snacking on alongside bubbles. To really impress your guests, why not start with avruga caviar, alongside Chapel and Swan smoked salmon served with pickled cucumber, horseradish cream and crackers.
As for nibbles, we love the sound of the rose harissa roasted nut mix, as well as basil pesto picos and chilli rice crackers. Smaller plates look like burrata di bufala with Heirloom tomato and pesto, as well as sheep’s cheese labneh with za’atar spice and potato crisps.
