Sandown Park is one of the many jewels in The Jockey Club’s crown of beautiful racecourses across the country. When it first opened in 1875, it was the only course to have a members’ area and one of the first to charge all for attending. Now, it is home to not just horse racing, but also trade shows, weddings, fairs, auctions, concerts and private events. Thanks to its many spaces and suites, each of a different size and style, Sandown is well-equipped for almost any type of private event. Easily accessible from Waterloo Station via Esher, the venue is ideal for those seeking a large venue near the capital.
On the ground floor, you’ll find Surrey Hall, a large, blank canvas space ideal for trade shows, exhibitions, charity galas and weddings. It can host up to 800 guests in a theatre format or up to 1500 for a standing reception. Esher Hall, meanwhile, is a touch smaller, able to host up to 600 theatre-style or 700 standing guests. These two versatile halls can also be combined for extra large events. For large dinners and receptions, The Gold Cup Suite is ideal. Allowing up to 304 guests in a cabaret setup or 360 for a banquet, the space has also partition walls which can be used to separate a drinks reception area or breakout room.
Day delegate rates include everything you need for your meeting or conference, including room hire, a breakfast snack on arrival, tea and coffee, mid-morning biscuits, buffet lunch, a seasonal afternoon snack, water, a projector and screen, a flipchart and pens, stationery, wifi, parking and a dedicated event manager to ensure your day goes as smoothly as possible. Sandown also offers a range of outdoor team-building activities and is the number one destination for outdoor events in Surrey.
