Bath is known for its stunning sandstone buildings and historic architecture, and so, if organising a special event in this city, it makes sense to honour what makes it so special. Since 1910, Bath Pavillion has stood proudly in the heart of the town and has been known as a venue for hosting everything from weddings to roller skating competitions, making itself a place to bring people together for over 100 years.
Built in traditional sandstone, it's a lovely example of Edwardian architecture and inside its huge proportions and solid maple wood flooring make it a blank canvas for any kind and size of do. The site comprises of a large entrance lobby to greet guests, a licensed bar and cafe for preparing and serving food and drinks, as well as a kitchen. There's also a raised stage and auditorium, helpful if performing or presenting is part of your event, perhaps in a corporate environment.
As mentioned, Bath Pavillion is a spacious venue and can impressively host up to 1000 people, with a team of staff who are happy to reconfigure the space or help you organise decorations to transform the aesthetic to suit your needs. The team also has great relationships with local suppliers and can help you source live music, catering, decorations, seating and entertainment to make your event stand out.
If you're not in need of the larger space, the Pavillion Cafe alone can seat 36 people and can be added to the newly refurbished bar space which now has a swanky draped ceiling, sound system and three large screens. Together, these spaces are perfect for bringing together 50 - 100 people, if the larger room feels overwhelming.
Another important detail to note is that while there is no on-site car parking, the town features many pay-and-display car parks just a short walk away.
