Been to Flight Club to play darts? If you fancy something new but in a similar vein, shuffleboard is the latest sport being transformed for the London bar scene in the form of London Shuffle Club.
At 650sq m, it’s a seismic new addition to the Shoreditch drinking scene. The modern, design-focused bar features full-size shuffleboards, rather than tabletop versions, so teams can get fully immersed.
Ideal for office parties and privately bookable, the Club can house groups between 20 and 250. Slots last from two hours, right up to the whole evening with individual bookable areas available. Get in touch with the venue directly for bespoke party packages involving food, drink and sessions of shuffleboard.
Unfamiliar with the popular American sport? The game requires players to slide weighted pucks down a long, smooth wooden board. Pucks then reach a scoring board, known as a scoring triangle at the far end. It requires equally low levels of physical exertion as darts – but all of the same comradery.
The bar is also London's first open-air shuffleboard venue (there are others, hello neighbouring London Shuffle Bar, run by the same owners). The outdoor shuffleboards are also prime sun-trap territory. Meanwhile, indoors the live music scheduling and industrial style mean the bar will be high-energy, with a similar vibe to nearby Junkyard Golf, just with a new 'sport' as a focus.
