Strawberries and cream, Pimm’s and people wearing white – you don’t have to be at Centre Court to experience it. Here’s our guide to the best places to watch The Championships this summer – you’ll love us for it (see what we did there?)

This five-star hotel has a number of private dining rooms for some pre-match nosh before you move into the screening room to watch the game. We’re intrigued by the Wimbledon-themed cocktail you’ll be served on arrival. The rest of the package includes Pimm’s (naturally) and a selection of five bowl foods.

Skylight London at Tobacco Dock became a sensation when it launched last year, so we’re glad to see their summer programme is back on with live screenings of Wimbo. The urban lawn is perfect for watching tennis and a range of corporate packages are available. You can hire the entire venue, or choose from exclusive areas. If you can’t handle the tension there are also a range of indoor and outdoor games to play, including croquet and pétanque.

The Hari will be putting up its pop-up Wimbledon-inspired lounge on The Terrace in collaboration with Moet & Chandon. Guests of The Bar at The Hari can enjoy the championship fortnight in style with quintessentially British food and Moët & Chandon champagne. This is the place to bring that special client you’re trying to impress, as it doesn’t allow for big group bookings.

Sofitel London St James has a range of offers and packages for watching the tennis. Choose from a sit-down meal, a cocktail reception with snacks or an indoor picnic. All three include some Wimbledon essentials when it comes to food and drink, plus the chance to watch the game on the big screen.

Bentley’s terrace is a dream during the summer, and with its outdoor heaters and covers, sunshine is not a requirement to enjoy it. Outdoor screens will be put up for Wimbo, so you can watch the tennis while feasting on the speciality seafood sharing platters and Perrier Jouet Belle Epoque champagne by the bucket-load. Private hire is very exclusive, so dig deep people!
Capacity 60
Prices from £9.15pp
Watch the tennis while munching on bruschetta, Italian nachos and Jamie’s Italian’s famous meat plank. Wash it all down with a glass of prosecco or some seriously good red wine. Jamie’s has just launched its new set summer menus and drinks packages to be enjoyed in its private dining rooms across the country, where Wimbo will be screened.

This Churchill-inspired bar has a newly decorated large outdoor terrace area (nautical-themed for this summer, inspired by Winston Churchill’s maritime journeys), perfect for getting us into the Wimbledon mood. With rambling roses and of a large television screen to watch the matches, this is the most luxurious place to watch it. The bar will also be offering special food and drink options that includes all your Wimbo essentials. We're really intrigued by the coronation chicken sandwiches on sourdough bread and the mini bagels with cream cheese, smoked salmon and capers.
