Hotel du Vin’s 40-bedroom Bristol outpost occupies a Grade II-listed former sugar warehouse close to the city’s regenerated waterfront. The handpainted Le Pin room is inspired by Gustav Klimt. The larger and more rustic Ruinart has original features, its own roof terrace and an anteroom for breakout sessions. Next to the Bistro, the Lanson can seat 12 beneath the painted cherubs that dominate its ceiling. Christies Library can be taken with the Janneau Bar to give a lively backdrop to pre-reception drinks. The Sugar Bar is a good spot for champagne and canapés before heading to the Sommelier’s Table in the wine cellar for dinner.
