The beautiful market town of Grantham is in Lincolnshire and sits around 20 miles outside of Nottingham. Grantham has been home to many notable figures, from former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher to Sir Isaac Newton (while he was attending the King’s School). Perhaps you’ve spotted Grantham when driving down the A1, although once you’re here, you won’t feel like you’re near any busy roads. There are so many gorgeous and historic houses and buildings to explore on a day out, so you’ll never be stuck for things to do. The market aspect of Grantham still remains, with general and traditional farmers markets taking place here very frequently. You can also find St Wulfram’s Church here, widely recognised as one of the finest examples of mediaeval architecture in England, the striking spire that dominates the skyline is a thing to behold.
