Here’s your chance to be one of the first to watch a show in the recently opened
Bridge Theatre, aptly named as it sits right next to Tower Bridge.
The first ever production in the playhouse is Richard Bean and Clive Coleman’s Young Marx, which will run until 31 December. Directed by theatre heavyweight Nicholas Hytner, the play follows the twists and turns of ‘Europe’s most feared terrorist’. With writer’s block, a failing marriage and the whole of London after him, Marx’s only solace comes from his wealthy comrade Friedrich Engels.
Our deputy features editor Millie Milliken visited on opening night to check it out. In her own words, ‘It’s a rambunctious romp through the philosopher’s life. Hilarious? Nearly always. Teetering on tragic? Oh yes – and that’s what makes it our big review this season.’
We’re keen to see what VIP packages the team will add in the near future, but for the moment knowing
St John restaurant will be managing the foyer bar and café is good news enough.
Just send an email with your full name and contact number to be entered in the draw.
The winner will receive two tickets to Young Marx on Wednesday 15 November 2017, plus two glasses of champagne and some excellent St John madeleines at the interval.
