Christmas is all about glamorous parties and old traditions, so where better to host your office shindig than a 17th-century townhouse, decorated with atmospheric old paintings, glittering chandeliers and situated in an incredible spot, in the heart of London's St. James.
The In & Out Naval and Military Club is a private club for Officers of the Navy and Military exclusively, but the club is happy to welcome non-members for private dining and events bookings. And so, while you wouldn't usually be granted entry, this Christmas you can treat your team to something really special. There are plenty of options to choose from, too, with six rooms and an all-weather courtyard to choose from.
For a big celebration, especially a festive one, The Coffee Room is a no-brainer as it's the largest space in the club and hosts up to 100 people seated, or 200 standing. The walls are hued in a merry red, with patterned carpeting throughout and red upholstered seating. It's like stepping back in time! The Astor Room is another wonderful choice; as the townhouse was once Lady Astor's home, her former bedroom is named after her and decorated in similar splendour to the 30 years she lived here. It works wonderfully for dinner for 30 people or drinks receptions for up to 50.
If you're imagining more of a drinks and boogie type affair, take a look at The Canning Room which boasts high ceilings and a large, open plan space, reserved just for standing receptions. Maps decorating the walls tell its history, while the grand fireplace is an eye-catching detail that will impress your guests. Here, parties of 40 are welcomed.
Finally, don't overlook the Courtyard and Winter Gallery, which is your chance to create your very own winter wonderland. Enclosed by 18th-century buildings and with an all-weather roof, it's a cosy spot for up to 100 people to enjoy.
