You'll have no doubt heard of The Delaunay, the classical brasserie infused with olde-world charm, located in the heart of Theatreland. Inspired by the grand cafes of Europe, The Delaunay comes from the same hospitality genius that brought you The Wolseley and boasts all the familiar bells and whistles with elegant furnishings, a luxurious menu and top-class service.
For private parties, especially at Christmastime, The Delaunay is the perfect choice. Not only does its grandiose atmosphere complement the most festive time of year, it has access to not one, not two, but three private spaces that can be enjoyed exclusively.
The private rooms can be found on the upper level with glorious views that look out over the bustling restaurant. When used as one whole space, the private dining room can cater for 24 guests and is available for festive breakfast or Christmas brunch, throughout the day and into the evening for supper. The space itself reflect the glamour of 1920s Europe with dark wood panelled walls, brass finishes and period windows with bathe the room in natural light in the day, while candlelight illuminates it after sunset.
Each booking will receive its own, dedicated events planner who will ensure that the room is decorated with seasonal flowers with compliments of the restaurant, but they can also help you organise festive decorations of your own for an additional fee. In this arrangement, guests will dine from one, large central table, but if you'd prefer a smaller space for less guests, or you'd like two separate rooms to do drinks and dinner, or perhaps a work presentation and then socialising, this space can be divided.
When divided, the Corner Room can accommodate 10 guests and the Kean Room can accommodate 16. If you have a much bigger party you're also welcome to look into taking over the Delaunay counter downstairs in the restaurant. This space can seat 30 people, or host 70 when standing and makes for an extraordinary setting to hold a Christmas party.
