Obicà opened back in 2004 with the simple mission to celebrate the finest mozzarella. Starting in Rome, the brand began the world's first mozzarella bar serving up lashings of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana DOP sourced from only selected farms and dairies in Campania, and certified by the Consortium for the protection. Now, Obicà has restaurants in America, Europe, Japan and the UK, with St Paul's being its London flagship.
While the concept hinges on mozzarella, you'll find a huge array of delicious, classically Italian dishes on the menu. If booking one of the restaurant's private dining spaces, you are invited to choose from the seven group menus. Here, you'll find options like the Aperitivo Experience with mozzarella di bufala bites, prosciutto Crudo di Parma, bruschette and sea salt and oragano focaccina. There's also a mozzarella tasting, sharing boards and three-course meals. Here, you can expect starters such as Datterini tomatoes with basil pesto, main courses like seabass with porcini mushrooms, roasted potatoes and Datterini tomatoes confit, as well as desserts like Torta Caprese which is a flourless chocolate and almond cake with Italian gelato.
In terms of choosing your space, if you're looking to throw a company-wide Christmas party you might be interested in taking over the entire restaurant which has capacity for 150 guests standing and 80 seated. Alternatively, the dining room can cater for 40 people seated and 50 standing, or the lounge has enough room for 24 people seated and 30 people standing. For a more intimate gathering, consider the deli and small bar or the semi-private area off the restaurant which is perfect for up to 18 people.
