This site was once home to Galvin HOP, but it has since changed to Galvin Bistrot & Bar - representative not only of the Galvin brothers’ love of French bistro cooking, but also harking back to the much-missed Galvin Bistrot De Luxe in Marylebone, where Chris and Jeff Galvin held a Michelin star for many years.
Galvin Bistrot & Bar’s warm ambiance and great food makes it a perfect spot for a Christmas party, not to mention the easy-access location between Shoreditch and Liverpool Street and The City. The restaurant and bar hosts all manner of different Christmas parties, ranging from intimate Christmas dinners with friends to big corporate drinks gatherings and receptions.
Various areas of the restaurant are available for Christmas hire, but the Galvin Bistrot & Bar jewel in the crown is the Conservatory - a gorgeous, light-filled space at the rear of the restaurant that can be set up in various layouts for gatherings of up to 30. The space lends itself perfectly to Christmas celebrations, and double doors open out into Galvin Bistrot & Bar’s private garden, which is partially covered and heated.
For larger gatherings of up to 110 standing or 55 seated, exclusive hire of the whole of Galvin Bistrot & Bar is available, and the restaurant area has a built-in screen and integrated projector, as well as a restaurant-wide sound system. Expect typical French Christmas fare on the menu, as well as Galvin classics like the tarte tatin with creme fraiche.
