Irish chef Richard Corrigan has built a legendary reputation on food that manages to walk a tightrope between hearty, comforting and supremely elegant. Nowhere is this more evident than his eponymous Mayfair restaurant, where the kitchen looks after a series of dining rooms, private dining rooms and other event spaces, cooking up everything from canapes to tasting menus.
If raucous fun and good food are what you want this Christmas, you won't find many better hosts than Corrigan's. The restaurant has a range of hearty private dining options this festive season, from exclusive hire of the restaurant for 85 people to 14 at the Chef's Table, or an intimate six in the Kitchen Library, where you can explore a small library of Corrigan's favourite cookbooks between courses.
Taking inspiration from his Irish roots, Corrigan’s set menus have a modern slant and include favourites such as dry-aged beef tartare with oyster cream, squab pigeon pithivier, and rhubarb souffle. Depending on what style of Christmas party you're planning, guests can order from the a la carte or from a set menu, where Corrigan and the team deliver festive dishes with an Irish twist.
Champagne receptions are available upon arrival in all of the event spaces, which are decorated with Christmas trees and seasonal decorations.
Finally, smaller parties should check out the cosy Poet's Corner; this semi-private dining room for 10 is separated from the main dining room by two curtains - one of fine gold silk and another heavy velvet, allowing you to choose just how secluded you want to be. This space is perfect for an intimate Christmas dinner with close friends and family, or colleagues.
