Let us introduce Buffini Chao Deck - the sky-high, indoor-outdoor events space sitting atop of the National Theatre. When it comes to organising a stand-out event, this place has literally everything you need from killer views to an experienced events team, as well as great catering and options to transform the space. So, if you're looking for a spot to host your office Christmas party that's sure to impress your colleagues, we think this is it.
First off, this iconic location means you'll be close to all the major transport links which makes things a little easier when organising a party for a large group coming in from around London. Waterloo station is a few minutes walk away and there's plenty of buses close by, but personally we love the idea of sailing in on an Uber boat, which stops right outside!
Head into the National Theatre - one of the UK's most iconic beacons of the arts - and up to the top floor, where you'll have the entire space to yourself. If planning a standing reception with drinks and canapes, you can host around 200 people, while seated dinners are reduced to 80 people, but you can chat through your options with the in-house events team.
The indoor space is bright, light and lofty with huge, floor-to-ceiling windows, a high ceiling and a wrap-around terrace. You're welcome to bring decorations and transform the space however you like - perhaps into a winter wonderland! While the terrace isn't used as much in the winter, it's a great opportunity to pop out and marvel at the sparkling skyline.
No party is complete without dancing and a great selling point of this place is that the esteemed light and sound teams from the National Theatre installed all of the state-of-the-art equipment, so you'll have options to create mood lighting and blast your favourite Christmas songs.
Finally, when it comes to catering, Buffini Chao Deck has loads of options from a long list of canapes (vegetarians are absolutely catered for), bowl food, seated dinners and even food trucks - the team have relationships with some of the trendiest food pop ups in London.
